A graduate of Bassfield High School in 1975, where she helped the Lady Yellowjackets to the Class BB State Title, McNease-Green played on the inaugural women's basketball team at Carey in 1975-76. A member of the Lady Crusaders basketball team for 4 seasons McNease-Green was a four year starter and led the team in rebounding in 1976 and had the highest free throw percentage in 1976 and 1977. While at WCC, McNease-Green was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student Education Association. McNease-Green graduated from Carey in 1979 with a degree in Mathematics and earned her master's degree in 1982 and began teaching Mathematics and Computer Applications in 1980 and retired in 2005 after 25 years of teaching.
