Dr. Jerry Mixon has given a lifetime of service. He has pastored full time at seven churches in Mississippi, Florida, and Arkansas, as well as serving as interim pastor at 22 churches. Dr. Mixon has also served as chaplain in the Mississippi National Guard and achieved the rank of Lt. Col.

Over the last decade, Dr. Mixon has given his time and resources in the advancement of our golf programs, under the direction of his son Jeff. These efforts have impacted so many golfers in the past, the present, and will do so into the future.

For this we honor Dr. Jerry Mixon as a Legacy Inductee in the WCU Sports Hall of Fame.
