PALM HARBOR, Fla. – The William Carey University men's golf team competed at The Invite at Innisbrook, finishing the three-round event with team scores of 302, 302, and 304.
 
Ethan Holway led the Crusaders in the opening round with a one-over-par 72, while Lorenzo Ligabue added a four-over-par 75. In the second round, Max Seidemann posted William Carey's low score with a two-over-par 73, improving by five strokes from his opening-round effort. Ligabue continued his steady play with another 75.
 
Chance Elston recorded William Carey's low round on the final day, firing a one-over-par 72. Holway closed the tournament with a 76, while Ligabue finished his final round with a 77.
 
William Carey was led by Holway, who finished tied for 34th overall with a three-round total of 225. Ligabue followed in a tie for 52nd at 227, while Elston placed tied for 64th with a 228. Seidemann finished tied for 85th at 234, and Aubrey Jones placed tied for 93rd with a 236.
 
The Crusaders return to action on Monday, Oct. 12, when they travel to Richmond, Ky., for the Gibson Bay Invite, hosted by Lindsey Wilson.
