ATHENS, Ala. – The WCU men's golf team carded rounds of 300, 296, and 298 to finish eighth at the Fire Hawk Invitational.
 
Aubrey Jones paced the Crusaders, opening with a 1-over-par 73. Lorenzo Ligabue was close behind in the first round with a 2-over 74, while Ethan Holway shot a 3-over 75 and newcomer Jace Crain added a 76.
 
WCU saw a five-shot improvement from Chance Elston with a 1-over 73. Jones continued his steady play with a 2-over 74, while Holway and Crain each turned in rounds of 74.
 
In the final round, Jones remained consistent with another 2-over-par 74, earning a tie for 23rd place. Holway climbed into a tie for 28th after firing a 1-over 73 in the final round, while Crain closed with a 74 to finish tied for 33rd.
