WEST POINT, Miss. — Competing in a loaded field that featured several nationally ranked programs, the Crusaders held their position throughout the weekend and came away with a fourth-place finish at the Blue Mountain Christian University Spring Classic.
 
The Crusaders opened play with a team score of 304, placing third after the opening round. Ethan Holway led the charge with a round of 1-over-par 73.
 
Conditions became increasingly difficult as round two got underway on the newly remodeled Mossy Oak Golf Club. As scores rose across the field during the afternoon, the Crusaders posted a team score of 310 to sit tied for fourth heading into the final round.
 
Calmer weather greeted the field for round three, and the Crusaders maintained their position with a final-round team score of 305. They finished tied for fourth with No. 5 Coastal Georgia and earned a head-to-head win over No. 18 Point University. No. 9 Blue Mountain placed third, finishing two shots ahead of the Crusaders, while No. 13 Dalton State claimed the team title and No. 2 Reinhardt finished runner-up.
 
Chance Elston paced the Crusaders in the final round with an even-par 72, helping him finish tied for 11th alongside teammate Ethan Holway.
 
The Crusaders return to action April 10–12 at the SSAC Conference Championship in Greenville, Alabama.
