Both Men & Women Finish in Third at NAIA National Championship

MARION, Ind. – Both the men's and women's track and field teams finished in third place at the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
 
"What a huge accomplishment by both our men's and women's teams for an incredible showing at the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Championships," said Head Coach Ryan McKenzie. "It's been a long and challenging season, and the hard work, grit, and dedication shown by our athletes truly paid off. We couldn't be prouder of how this team represented WCU on the national stage. On and off the track, this group showed what it means to compete with heart, resilience, and pride."
 
Day one of the championships saw mostly prelims with finals taking place on the second and third day. Eubrig Maza and Royan Walters were the first Crusaders to reach the podium, taking second and third place in the long jump with a mark of 7.66m and 7.57m.
 
Damien Spencer, Barnabas Aggerh, Ronaldo Andrews, and Jaylyn Session secured a second-place finish in the men's 4x100 with a time of 39.46. Aggerh added to his medal count, with a first-place finish in the 100m with a time of 10.06 with Session also securing a spot on the podium with a time of 10.29 to take third place.
 
Mario Santin turned in an All-American performance in the 400m hurdles with an eighth-place finish and finishing off the day was Kapandura Dickson, Jovel Madourie, Jer'Myiah Stuckey, and Sherwayne Ashman turning in a time of 3:12 in the 4x400 to take fourth place.
 
For the ladies, it was Fegor Clifford leaping to first place in the triple jump with a mark of 12.45m with Zaniyah Wilson just missing All-American honors with a ninth-place finish. On the final day, the relay team of Tyeese Smith, Denai Wilson, Salieci Myles, and Syniah Sims turned in a time of 45.26 in the 4x100 to take first place.
 
Myles then turned her attention to the 100m hurdles where she turned in a time of 13.22 to finish in second place with Wilson also securing second place with a time of 11.40 in the 100m. Clifford picked up her second medal of the day with a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles with Wilson also taking third with a time of 23.59 in the 200m.
 
In the 4x400 relay, Jennifer Ezeoha, Maria Simancas, Clifford, and Wilson just missed the podium, turning in a time of 3:50 to finish in fourth place to finish the day.
