STARKVILLE, Miss. – No. 16 Lady Crusaders led from start to finish, posting rounds of 309, 300, and 311 to capture the BMCU Spring Classic hosted by Blue Mountain Christian University.
Round one saw
Gracie Bloom post a three over par 74 to sit in a tie for second with
Worawalan Siwaiyapram finishing the round in fourth with a five over par. Finishing one shot back of Siwaiyapram was
Taamtond Nivasananda who posted a six over par.
Round two followed with Bloom improving her score by two strokes as well as Nivasananda improving her score by three strokes. Siwaiyapram remained steady, posting her second round of five over par with Ruangrung who was playing as an individual improving her score by five strokes with a 78.
Bloom stumbled a bit in the final round on Tuesday, posting a seven over par 78 to drop back into tie for second place. Siwaiyapram followed with a fifth-place finish, posting her third five par 76 of the tournament with Nivasananda finishing right behind in sixth place with a 79. Also posting a top ten finish was Ruangrung, finishing in tenth place with a 78.
Carey is back in action on Monday, March 31, as they head to Dalton, Ga. to take part in the Roadrunner Classic hosted by Dalton State at the Farm Golf Club.
