BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The William Carey Men's and Women's Track & Field Teams got their 2024-25 indoor season underway at the Birmingham Indoor IceBreaker.

Barnabas Aggerh for his outstanding performance in the 60-meter sprint, setting a new NAIA record with an incredible time of 6.60 seconds. We've set a high standard for the season ahead; we must keep pushing forward!"
Getting things going on the track was
Barnabas Aggerh who set a new NAIA Indoor Record with a time of 6.60 in the 60m to finish in first place. Coming in right behind him was Jaylyn Session who finished with a time of 6.70.
The Crusader had three athletes finish inside the top ten in the 200m with Jovel Madourie taking sixth place with a time of 21.75. Sessions posted a time of 21.83 to take seventh with Aggerh finishing in ninth with a time of 21.96.
Carey also posted three top ten finishes in the 400m with
Mario Santin leading the way with a fourth-place finish. Coming in with a time of 49.03 was Kapandura Dickson to finish in fifth place while
Derrick Price took sixth with a time of 49.17.
In the distance races for the guy's Luke Skinner took ninth in the mile with a time of 4:32 while
Nathan Sury posted a time of 8:41 in the 3000m to finish in tenth. In the field events
Ronaldo Andrews posted a mark of 6.92m in the long jump to finish in fifth place.
For the women,
Salieci Myles posted an eighth-place finish in the 200m with a time of 24.98. In the 3000m
Blanca Conesa posted a time of 10:27 to finish in tenth place.
Both squads are back in action January 10, as they head to Nashville, Tenn. to take part in the Commodore Challenge.
