HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the Southern Showcase, hosted by Jacksonville State University. The women's team placed fifth overall, while the men's team finished 20th.

Kristina Stojanovic led the Lady Crusaders with a 14th-place finish in the 5K race, crossing the line in 19:26. Sydney Moudy followed in 29th place with a time of 20:09, while Virginia Tirado finished 36th in 20:35. Hannah Mitchell, Maria Tirado and Macy Robertson rounded out the scoring runners with times of 21:07, 21:14 and 21:18, respectively.

On the men's side, Matthew McGuire paced the Crusaders with a 13th-place finish in the 8K race, posting a time of 26:13. Luke Skinner placed 22nd in 26:40, while Niklas Moilanen completed the course in 30:02. Nate Beard crossed the line in 30:30, and Julius Giller finished in 31:29.

Both squads return to action Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Firehawk Invitational in Oakville, Ala.
