In the final match on Friday, the Lady Crusaders had their hands full against Truett McConnell. Anderson/Bonilla started things with a 21-13, 21-15 win in flight four with Guedes/Maceira picking up a thrilling three set victory in flight two.
However, the Bears battled back with a win in flight three and three set victory in flight five. The match would come down to

Lara Monteiro for WCU and Emma Boland/Jordan Roberts in flight one. Hermont and Monteiro wasted no time Carey in sealing the 3-2 victory, winning 21-11, 21-13.
The Lady Crusaders started Saturday with a sweep over St. Andrews. Just like in the matches on Friday, the duo of Anderson/Bonilla started WCU off with a win in flight four, winning in three sets with Guedes/Maceira winning 21-10, 21-13 in flight two.
Bettini/Gross picked up the point in flight five 21-8, 21-15 with Lima/Wright taking flight three 21-13, 21-14. Hermont/Monteiro finished off the sweep with a hard fought 21-19, 21-18 win in flight one.
Carey wrapped up the day against Brenau, picking up their third sweep of the weekend winning all five flights in straight sets.
WCU returns to action Friday, March 28-29, as head to Marshall, Texas to take part in the ETBU Tiger Invitational, hosted by East Texas Baptist University. On Friday, they will face off against Berry College (Ga.) and ETBU and on Saturday take on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Hendrix College.
