LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The William Carey Women's Tennis Team wrapped up their Georgia road trip with a 4-0 victory over #25 Campbellsville University Friday morning to end the trip with a 2-1 record.
On Thursday, WCU had their hands full with #1 Georgia Gwinnett, as the Grizzles defeated Carey 4-0.
In the afternoon on Thursday, the Lady Crusaders would take on #17 Indiana Wesleyan. WCU would take the early lead, taking the point at doubles on wins by

Isabella Lechuga at #2 Doubles and
Li-Hsien Lin/
Tiffany Chang at #3 doubles.
Carey wasted no time in securing the win, as
Gia Posito would win 6-4,6-4 at #4 singles and
Malak Abarkane would take the point at #6 singles 6-2,6-1.
Sunny Logan would pick up the final point with a 6-2,6-3 win at #5 singles.
In their lone match on Friday, Carey once again took care of business, securing the first point of the match. Vieten/Lechuga would win 6-2 at #2 doubles with Lin/Chang winning 6-0 at #3 doubles.
Nina Westkamp would take the point at #6 singles 6-1,6-2 with Lechuga winning 6-4,6-2 at #2 singles. Logan would clinch the match winning in the three sets 1-6,6-3,6-3 at #4 singles.
WCU is back in action Tuesday, March 19, as they take on SCAD-Atlanta in non-conference action. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 pm at the Crusader Tennis Courts.
