COLUMBIA, Ky. - #5 William Carey Women's Soccer picked up a non-conference road win, defeating Lindsey Wilson College 3-2 Sunday evening.
Christina Salmon staked Carey to a 1-0 lead with a goal just nine minutes into the contest. The one goal advantage would hold until the second half when Leonie Schmid evened things up with a goal one minute into the second half.
The match would not remain tied for long, as three minutes later Salmon found
Maria Azarias who made it 2-1 WCU. The Blue Raiders however did not back down and in the 57
th minute tied the match once again.
The Lady Crusaders kept up the offensive pressure and in the 67

Julia Herbst who netted what would be the game winner. The Carey defense clamped down after surrendering the second goal limiting LWC to just one shot to preserve the win.
WCU is back in action Friday, September 8, as they travel to Foley, Ala. to take on #3 Keiser University. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
