LOUISVILLE, Ky. – In a field of 41 teams and 383 runners consisting of mostly NCAA schools the William Carey Women's Cross Country team totaled 714 points to finish in 31
st place in the Louisville Classic Saturday morning.
Blanca Conesa led the way with a time of 18:42 in the 5K event to finish in 33
rd place.
Maria Tirado finished in 93
rd with a time of 19:25 with
Isabelle Wheeler coming in with a time of 19:42 to place 136.
Paige Anderson crossed in 20:29 with
Hannah Mitchell posting a time of 21:35. Finishing things off for the Lady Crusaders were
Sarah Olamide and
Maria Simancas who finished with times of 21:51 and 22:10.
WCU is back in action Friday, October 20, as they take part in NAIA Appalachian Challenge in Knoxville, Tenn.
