HATTIESBURG, Miss. – A second half goal proved the difference, as #5 William Carey Women's Soccer defeated Louisiana Christian University 1-0, Saturday evening at Danny Owens Field.

Despite taking 14 shots in the first half, the Lady Crusaders managed to only put three of those on target.  The second half started similar to the first but in the 59^th minute Mariangela Jimenez found Maria Azarias who fired it home from 10 yards out.  The Carey defense did the rest, as they limited the Wildcats to just three shots in the second half.

WCU is back in action Sunday, September 3, as they travel to Columbia, Ky. to take on Lindsey Wilson College.  Kick-off is slated for 7:00 pm.
