HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Coming off an 83-74 victory over SUNO Tuesday night, the William Carey Men's Basketball Team left little to doubt Thursday night with a 105-56 win over Southeastern Baptist.
Things were close for the first few minutes but with Carey leading 8-6 with 15 minutes left in the first half, the Crusaders would use a 7-0 run to seize control. From there WCU would stretch their lead to as many as 33 before taking a 54-23 lead into the break.
It was much of the same in the second half, as the Crusaders put the game away for good leading by as many as 51 points while shooting over 64% from the floor.
Dylan Brumfield led the offense with 21 points.
Earl Smith added 20 points with
Ashton Campbell finishing with 14 points.
Carey is back in action Tuesday, December 12, as they travel to Montgomery, Ala. to take on Faulkner University in SSAC action. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 pm.
