MONTGOMERY, Ala. - #6 William Carey Men's Soccer scored two second half goals to pick up a SSAC road win over Faulkner University Saturday afternoon.
 
Despite taking 15 shots with eight on goal, in the first half, the Crusaders were unable to break through the Eagles defense, sending the game into the break scoreless. However, the Carey offense continued their attack and in the 55^th minute finally broke through the Faulkner defense, as Elias Salminen found the back of the net with Caoimhin McConnell picking up the assist.  WCU would add an insurance goal in the 65^th minute off the foot of Reon Dawes with the assist coming from Jamie Wynne
 
The Crusaders are back in action Thursday, October 12, as they take on Life University in SSAC action.  Kick-off is slated for 7:30 pm at Danny Owens Field.
