HATTIESBURG, Miss. - #1 William Carey Women's Soccer wrapped up the regular season with a dominating 9-0 victory over the University of Mobile Saturday afternoon, at
Danny Owens Field.

Just eight minutes into the contest,
Fernanda Pena Nieto collected a free ball outside the 18 yard box, beat a Ram defender, the fired it home to put Carey on the board. A PK in the 25
th minute by
Maria Azarias made it 2-0 WCU and a goal by
Julia Herbst two minutes later pushed the lead to three. The final goal of the half would come off the foot of
Kokona Nishikawa in the 39
th minute.

The Lady Crusaders wasted no time coming out the break, as
Natasha Povey found Azarias who made it 5-0. Back to back goals by
Mariangela Jimenez in the 58
th minute and 66
th minute pushed the Carey lead seven with
Virginia Mesa and
Alyssia Davis capping the scoring with goals in the 80

WCU is back in action Thursday, November 2, as they host the first round of the SSAC Championship. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:30 pm with the opponent still to be determined.
