HATTIESBURG, Miss. - #1 William Carey Women's Soccer clinched the SSAC Regular Season Title with a 3-0 victory over Dalton State College Saturday afternoon at Danny Owens Field.
 
Carey got on the board in the 13^th minute as Julia Herbst stole the ball inside the box and fired a shot but the Roadrunner keeper was able to make the save.  However, the ball fell right to the feet Christina Salmon who the tapped it in.
 
The Crusaders would make it 2-0 in the 37^th minute as Virginia Mesa played the ball to Karen Vilau who then fired it home from 20 yards out.  The final goal of the game would come in the 55^th minute as Herbst once again found Salmon who poked it past the DSC keeper.  The Carey defense took care of the rest limiting the Roadrunners to just one shot with none on goal.
 
WCU is back in action Saturday, October 21, as they wrap up the regular season against Mobile.  Kick-off is scheduled for 1:30 pm at Danny Owens Field.
