Tracy English

Tracy English has served as Head Coach Women's Basketball since 1990. Entering his 33rd season, English has compiled over 400 wins, won three Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championships, and earned three berths to the NAIA National Championship.

English was a standout athlete at Hattiesburg High in both men's basketball and track. Following high school, English spent a year at Mississippi State University before arriving at Carey in the fall of 1981. A standout guard for the Crusaders, English helped Carey to two District 30 Championships, one GCAC championship, and two trips to the NAIA National Tournament.

Following his playing career, English served as graduate assistant for men's basketball from 1984 till 1987. After a one year hiatus he returned as the full time assistant for men's basketball in 1988.   As an assistant English has been a part of five GCAC championships, four District 30 championship, two SSAC Championship, and eight NAIA National Tournament appearances.

English earned is Bachelors' Degree in Physical Education in 1984 and completed his Master Degree of Education in 1990.  English also serves as an instructor in the school of education.
