Sean Peoples is originally from Donegal, Ireland, and has been involved in college soccer in the United States since 2017. His coaching qualifications include FAI Kickstart 1 and 2, FAI 4v4 and 7v7 certifications, and United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Levels 1 and 2. Peoples began his collegiate soccer journey at Jones College in 2017, serving with the men’s soccer program for two seasons before joining William Carey University in 2019. His responsibilities within the William Carey Men’s Soccer program have continued to grow, and he was appointed head coach of the reserve team in 2023. In addition to overseeing the development of reserve-team players, he continues to support the varsity program through training and match preparation, opposition analysis, academic support, and day-to-day program operations. During his time with the Crusaders, Peoples has been part of multiple Southern States Athletic Conference championship seasons and a sustained run of appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, including a national semifinal appearance.
Peoples earned an Associate of Science from Jones College in 2018 before completing a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at William Carey University in 2021. He later earned a Master of Business Administration from William Carey in 2023 and an Education Specialist degree in Interscholastic Athletic Administration. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at William Carey University.
Peoples enters his eighth season with the William Carey Men’s Soccer program in 2026. He will continue leading the reserve team while assisting with the varsity program as the Crusaders prepare to compete for conference honors and another appearance in the NAIA National Tournament.
