Neill Kerr enters his second season with the men's soccer team at William Carey University after being promoted to a full-time assistant coach. Originally from County Louth, Ireland, Neill brings a diverse coaching background, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the field.
Neill joined William Carey in 2025 following a season as an assistant coach at Jones College. During his first year with the Crusaders, he played an integral role in all aspects of the program, including on-field coaching, opponent scouting, video and performance analysis, player development, recruiting support, training session planning, and day-to-day program operations. He also assisted with fundraising, community outreach, camp operations, and administrative responsibilities that helped support the continued growth of the program.
In addition to his collegiate experience, Neill served as a head coach of Hattiesburg Futbol Club's GCPL 2 team and has previously worked as an assistant coach with the club's USL League Two side. His coaching philosophy centers on creating player-centered learning environments that encourage decision-making, accountability, and long-term development.
Neill earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT) in Ireland in 2021 before moving to the United States to continue his education and playing career. He completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Auburn University at Montgomery in 2024 while competing as a collegiate soccer player and recently earned a specialist degree in interscholastic athletic administration from William Carey University.
As a full-time assistant coach, Neill will continue to oversee video and data analysis while contributing to player development, recruiting, fundraising, and the overall success of the Crusaders' men's soccer program.
