Guilherme Avila Terra returns to William Carey as an assistant coach. Terra played collegiately at Iowa Central Community College before transferring to William Carey his junior year. During his time at Carey, Terra was key in helping the Crusaders achieve an impressive total record of 35-2-6, losing only one game each season. He helped the team reach the NAIA semi-final in his junior year and captained the team to a quarter-final finish in his senior year. Terra was also part of the 2019 squad that set the program record for clean sheets in a single season.

As well as his team accolades, Terra picked up numerous awards individually. He was named SSAC All-Conference and NAIA Honorable Mention All-American both years he was a Crusader. In addition, he was named SSAC Newcomer of the Year in his first year.

After his time at William Carey, Terra went on to coach at Presbyterian Christian School (PCS), where he led the team to the first-ever championship game in the program’s history, marking a milestone achievement for the school.

Terra’s coaching career continued to grow as he led Gaffa FC to victory in the Gulf Coast Premier League (GCPL) in 2022. His impact extended to Jones College, where he contributed as a volunteer coach, helping the team secure a conference championship.

In the summer of 2024, Terra took charge of Hattiesburg Futbol Club in their inaugural season in the USL 2. Facing many challenges typical of a first-year program, he finished with a very respectable showing and laid solid foundations for the years to come.
