HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The William Carey Men's Golf Team posted rounds of 299, 294, and 287 to finish in a tie for second place at the 2025 Carey Collegiate Invite at Canebrake Country Club.
The Crusaders battled windy conditions in round one, posting a team score of 299 to finish in fourth place.
Chase Guillot paced Carey with a one over par 72 to end the round in seventh place with
Alessio Graziani posting a two over 73.
Round two saw a five-stroke improvement by WCU, however there was improvement across the board, leading to the Crusaders dropping one spot to fifth. Guillot dropped one spot from the first round with a second-round score of two over par with Graziani matching his round one score.
Hunter Bell made the biggest move on the leader board with a one over par, improving his round one score by five strokes to move up to sixteenth place.
After a cold start to round three, the temperature rose along with the quality of play, as the Crusaders tied with Dalton State for tournament best three over par for the final round.
Continuing their strong play were Graziani and Guillot who both finished tied for sixth with Graziani posting an even par 71 with Guillot finishing with a one over. Bell followed up his one over par from the second round with another one over to move up to thirteenth place.
