Hattiesburg, Miss. – William Carey delivered a resounding performance Friday afternoon, securing a dominant 113-28 victory over Southeastern Baptist.
From the opening quarter, William Carey asserted complete control, exploding for 33 points while holding Southeastern Baptist to a mere 6. This early surge established a commanding lead that the Lady Crusaders maintained throughout all four periods. Their offensive efficiency was a highlight, as they shot an impressive 62.3% from the field and an outstanding 54.2% from beyond the arc. The team's balanced attack was further evidenced by their 29 assists on 43 made field goals, demonstrating excellent ball movement and teamwork.
The Crusaders' dominance extended beyond efficient shooting. They capitalized heavily on Southeastern Baptist's struggles, forcing 29 turnovers and converting them into a staggering 44 points, a stark contrast to Southeastern Baptist's mere 2 points off turnovers.
