HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The William Carey Men's Soccer Team used a second half goal to defeat Xavier University Sunday night at Danny Owens Field.
 
In what turned out to be a defensive battle that saw only six shots on goal, Carey made the most out their opportunities.  In the 59^th, coming off a corner kick that was partially cleared out, Caoimhin McConnell collected the ball and played it towards the right post where Kolby Godbolt was there to head home what would be the game winner.
 
The Crusaders are back in action Wednesday, August 21, as they take on Louisiana Christian.  Kick-off is slated for 7:00 pm at Danny Owens Field.
