HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The William Carey Men's Tennis clinched the SSAC Regular Season Title with a 7-0 victory over Loyola University Thursday afternoon at the Crusader Tennis Courts.
 
Carey secured the first point of match, winning all three doubles matches with Noah Rockstroh claiming the first point in singles 6-2, 6-2 to make it 2-0 Carey.  Islam Orynbassar battled to a 7-5 win is set one before taking the match with a 6-3 win in set two.
 
Matt Shearer would clinch the win with a three set victory at #2 singles.  Shearer would drop the first set 4-6 but rebound, taking set two 6-2 and would go on to take the match with a 6-3 win in the third set.  Antoine Audrain, Louis Steinbichler, and Jean Nicolas Leblanc would also win their matches.
 
Carey is back in action Saturday, April 13, as they travel to New Orleans, La. to take on Xavier University in non-conference action.
