THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The William Carey Men's Basketball Team left little doubt with a 98-69 victory over Thomas University.
The first half saw both teams taking turns with the lead with Carey holding the largest lead of the half at seven. However it would the Nighthawks that would take a 38-36 lead into the break with a basket just before the half ended.
The start of the second half was similar to the first but with Carey holding a slim 46-45 lead a three pointer by
Ankerion Gross with 15 to play sparked the WCU offense to a 14-0 run. From there the Crusader offense continued to fire on all cylinders outscoring Thomas 62-31 for the half while shooting over 72%.
Kolby Moore led the Carey offense with a season high 26 points with
Kaeden Laws and
Dylan Brumfield each finishing with 16 points.
