THOMASVILLE, Ga. - #8 William Carey Men's Soccer scored two second half goals to defeat Thomas University Thursday afternoon to open SSAC play.
Both teams were locked in a stale mate until the 50
th minute. That's when
Djordje Djukovic played a brilliant cross into the box to
Billy Boag who then flicked it into the left side of the goal to give Carey a 1-0 lead. Ten minutes later Giovanni Soares netted what would be the final goal of the match. The Crusader defense took care the rest limiting the Nighthawk offense to just five shots in the second half with none of those on goal.
Carey is back in action Saturday, as they travel to West Point, Ga. to take on Point University. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
