HATTIESBURG, Miss. - #20 William Carey Baseball held on for a 7-6 victory over LSU-Alexandria Tuesday afternoon, at Milton Wheeler Field.
After trading runs in the first inning, the Crusaders got the offense going in the second with five runs on five hits.Â

Braydon Coffey and Hernandez scoring on the same play on an error by the center fielder.
Jake Lycette would make it 6-1 WCU with a two run homer with LSUA getting one run back in the top of the third. The Crusaders would add their final run in the fifth on a Wilson solo homerun to center. However, the Generals would not go quietly and in the eighth inning plated four runs to get with one run but would not get any closer, as relief pitcher
John Snyder settled down to end the threat.Â
Dario Herrera picked up the win on the mound going seven innings allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts with Snyder getting the save.
Carey is back in action Friday, as they take on Middle Georgia State in SSAC action. First pitch of the double header is scheduled for 2:00 pm at Milton Wheeler Field.
