LAKE WALES, Fla. – After dropping their first regular season game since the 2019 season to Southeastern University (Fla.) on Saturday, the #2 William Carey Women's Soccer team left little to doubt Monday, defeating Warner University 8-0.

Julia Herbst made it 3-0 Carey in the 11
th minute beating a defender and sending a shot past a diving keeper. in the 14th minute, Sousa collected a loose ball at the top of the box and knocked it home for her second goal of the match.
Heading into the second half with a 4-0 lead, WCU put the game for away for good, as Sousa made it 7-0 with goals in the 46
th, 60
th, and 63
rd minute for a career high five goals.
Valeria Barajas capped the scoring in the 64
th minute for the final margin.
WCU is back in action Saturday, September 10 as they take on Bethel University (Tenn.) in non-conference action. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:00 pm at
Danny Owens Field.
