TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - (RV) William Carey Volleyball never missed a beat after a week off, defeating Stillman College in straight sets, Friday night at Birthright Alumni Hall.
The Lady Crusaders wasted no time in the first set, using an 11-2 run to take control before taking the set 25-8. Â WCU kept the attack going in the second set, opening on an 8-1 run and then used an 11-0 run on their way to taking the set 25-9. Â Carey did not let off the gas in final set, building an 18-3 lead and never looked back taking the set and the match.
Mia Hague and
Elaina Anderson led William Carey with 10 and nine kills, respectively.
Rachael Messer had 14 set assists and
Rachel Hartmann had 13. William Carey posted 17 service aces in the match, led by
Jacey Garriga's five.
Avery Durdin and Anderson each had three.
WCU is back in tommorrw as they head to Blue Mountain, Miss. to take on Blue Mountain College in SSAC action. Â First serve is schedule for 1:00 pm.
