HATTIESBURG, Miss. - #16 William Carey men's soccer overcame a two goal deficit to defeat the University of West Alabama 3-2 Friday night, at
Danny Owens Field.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Baronyi Kengeye and just ten minutes into the second half made it 2-0.  With just fifteen minutes left the game the Crusaders finally got things going offensively, as
Brandon Bermingham knocked home a loose ball in the box to put Carey on the board.
Just eight minutes later
Ethan Carney made a quick pass to
Jamie Wynne inside the box who then beat a defender to even the match at two all. Carey completed the comeback in the 85
th minute, as
Sacha Vandersteene headed home the game winner on a corner kick from
Aleksa Urosevic.
WCU is back in action Monday, as they take on Tennessee Wesleyan University. Kick-off is slated for 2:00 pm at
Danny Owens Field.Â
