HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The William Carey Men's Basketball team picked up their first win of the season, defeating Southeastern Baptist 103-55 Monday night, at Clinton Gym.
The Crusaders quickly took control of the game racing out to a 14 point lead eight minutes in and stretched their lead to 58-28 at the break. Carey put the game away for good in the second half draining eight three pointers and shooting over 42% for the half.
Kolby Moore and
Earl Smith led four players in double figures with 20 points apiece.
Willie Moody chipped in 17 points with
Marqus Mitchell adding 13 points.
WCU is back in action Thursday, November 17, as they travel to Mt. Vernon, Ga. to take on Brewton-Parker College to open SSAC play. Tip is slated for 6:30 pm.
