HATTIESBURG, Miss. – (RV) William Carey Volleyball returned home to the Ben Waddle Complex with a straight sets victory over Brewton-Parker College Friday night.
After a back and forth start to the first set, the Lady Crusaders used two 6-0 runs to pull away and take the set 25-15. WCU wasted no time in the second set opening on a 7-2 run and leading by as many as eight points on their way to taking the set and a 2-0 lead. The third set started just like the first set. With Carey holding an 8-7 lead, they used a 7-0 run to pull away and never looked back taking the set 25-18 and the match.
Mia Hague led the attack finishing with 11 kills.
Kacey Lear added 19 digs with
Rachel Hartmann finishing with 13 digs and 26 assists.
Carey is back in action today, as they take on Middle Georgia State in SSAC action. First serve is slated for 1:00 pm at the Ben Waddle Complex.
