HATTIESBURG, Miss. - #5 William Carey Women's Soccer cruised to a 3-0 victory over Middle Georgia State, Thursday night at
Danny Owens Field.
The Lady Crusaders wasted no time in taking the lead, as
Karen Vilau played a ball to Julia Hebst at the top box who then beat a MGA defender to knock home the first goal of day just four minutes into the contest.
Three minutes later
Camila Pescatore made it 2-0 with a shot from 20 yards out.Â
Kauany Sousa capped the scoring for WCU in the 52
nd minute and the Carey defense did the rest limiting the Knights to just one shot on goal for the night.
The Lady Crusaders are back in action Saturday, as they take on the Barons of Brewton-Parker College in conference action. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:30 pm at
Danny Owens Field.
