Cotoria Blackmon begins her fifth year coaching at the collegiate level and her first season at William Carey, where she serves as an assistant coach with the women’s basketball program.
A native of Jackson, Miss., Blackmon is a 2016 graduate of Callaway High School. She continued her academic and athletic journey at Pearl River Community College (2016–2018), where she competed as a student-athlete. She then transferred to William Carey University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2021. During her time at William Carey, she served as a graduate assistant with the women’s basketball team, where she began developing her coaching experience at the collegiate level.
In 2021,Blackmon began her professional career at Murrah High School in Jackson, Miss., working as an educator and assistant coach. She returned to Pearl River Community College for the 2022–2023 season before joining Mississippi College in 2023, where she continued to contribute to player development, recruiting, and program success.
Blackmon brings a competitive spirit and a strong academic foundation to every team she joins, and she is passionate about mentoring student-athletes both on and off the court.
