Head Coach Jeff Mixon enters his 14th season leading the William Carey University men’s golf program.
A 2009 William Carey graduate and PGA of America Class A Professional with the Gulf States PGA Section, Mixon has developed the Crusaders into a consistent conference and national contender. During his tenure, William Carey has won 17 team championships and produced 12 individual tournament champions.
Under Mixon’s leadership, Crusader golfers have earned four SSAC Newcomer of the Year awards, one Freshman of the Year honor, 15 All-SSAC selections, five All-Freshman Team honors, six All-Tournament Team selections, 24 SSAC All-Academic honors, and 14 SSAC Player of the Week awards while finishing conference runner-up four times.
On the national stage, Mixon’s players have earned four Palmer Cup nominations, four Ping GCAA All-District selections, one GCAA All-America honor, two NAIA All-America honors, and 10 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete awards.
William Carey has advanced to the NAIA National Championship as a team four times (2019, 2021, 2024, and 2025), with an additional individual qualifier competing in 2022. The Crusaders have appeared in the NAIA Top 25 rankings each season from 2019 through 2025 and received votes in the 2026 national poll.
