PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Crusaders returned to the water for the first time in 2025 as they travelled to the University of West Florida for the Argo Winter Classic. The men fell to Ouachita Baptist and the women fell to West Florida and Ouachita Baptist.
The men opened the day picking up 1
st place in the 200-yard Medley Relay.
Mate Miszlai,
Hunter Boudreau, Balaza Bansagi, &
Janos Szabo picked up the win to kick start the day. In the only other relay of the day, the Crusaders picked up 3
rd. Bansagi, alongside
Josiah Blankenship,
Braedan Jacobs, &
Millen Fehr picked up third in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay.
Miszlai proved to be the swimmer of the meet for the Crusaders. Miszlai placed 1
st in all four of his events. Following the team win in the 200-yard Medley Relay, he followed it up with individual wins in the 50- & 100-yard Backstroke and the 200-yard Individual Medley.
There were also individual wins for Boudreau, Jacobs, & Szabo. Boudreau notched 1
st in the 50-yard Breaststroke. Szabo won his 50-yard Freestyle before Jacobs claimed the Crusaders' last individual win in the 500-yard Freestyle. Szabo & Jacobs both had 2
nd place finishes to their name as well. Szabo got silver in the 100-yard Freestyle after Jacobs had finished 2
nd in the 100-yard Butterfly.
The Ladies opened their day with the 200-yard Medley Relay.

th to start the day. Funck, alongside
Bisma Khan,
Victoria Murphy, &
Sophia Martin then went one better, finishing 4
th in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay.
Funck picked up the Lady Crusader lone individual win of the day. Funck picked up 2
nd in the 100-yard Backstroke before going better and placing first in the 50-yard backstroke.
Kardos picked up a second place and a couple of third place finishes. Kardos's best individual performance came as she placed 2
nd in the 100-yard Breaststroke. She followed this with two 3
rd place finishes in the 50-yard Breaststroke and the 200-yard Individual Medley. Khan picked up the Crusaders last top 3 finish of the day as she placed 3
rd in the 50-yard Freestyle.
